A high speed chase through the streets of Los Angeles left several police cruisers in need of body work Monday evening.

The chase began when a police officers at San Fernando High School attempted to pull the driver over. He responded by trying to run them over.

A cat and mouse game followed, with police attempting to spin the man's car several times. At one point, a police cruiser managed More..to stop the car, but the chase started up again after the same police cruiser struck a store front.

Several more collisions failed to stop the determined fugitive.

The chase finally ended when the man jumped from his Chevy Impala and ran toward his pursuing officers. They responded with pepper spray and batons, forcing the man to his knees and eventually, into handcuffs
